The brightly painted dining room here features a smattering of couches, perfect to lounge by the windows overlooking Damen Avenue, plus a handful of tables. One wall is like a mini-shrine to the hookah pipe; several sizes and styles are on display. After 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, the pipes come down, the Arabic beats get a little louder, and the focus turns to smoking the hookah. Several flavors of custom-blended shisha (tobacco) are offered, including strawberry and apple flavors. The dining menu offers appetizers like baba ghanoush, dolme and borak (Middle Eastern egg rolls). Entrees feature shish kebabs, shawarma, and falafel. A limited menu is offered after 10 p.m. on the weekends, featuring appetizers, salads and other light bites.
